The story we hear most often: "We tried ads and wasted our money." The reason is almost always the same — the ad pointed to the homepage, targeted "everyone aged 18 to 65" and was measured in likes. Ads work — but only when they're set up as a sales system, not a boosted post.
Google or Meta (Facebook/Instagram)?
- Google ads catch people who are already searching ("emergency plumber"): the hottest customers, ideal for services and urgent needs.
- Meta ads spark desire in people who aren't searching yet: ideal for products, salons, restaurants, events — anything people "want on the scroll".
- The right answer for most businesses: both, with remarketing that brings back people who looked but didn't buy.
What a month of professional management looks like
- Week 1: set-up — pixel/conversion tracking, audiences, 2–3 ad variants, landing page.
- Weeks 2–3: testing — we run variants on a small budget, switch off the losers and push the winners.
- Week 4: scaling + report: spent → enquiries generated → what each enquiry cost you. In black and white.
How much budget do you need?
For a local business in Bosnia and Herzegovina, a realistic starting ad budget is 300–600 KM a month. Less than that doesn't give enough data to optimise; more only makes sense once the numbers prove a profit. Our management costs from 249 KM a month — and deliberately without a long-term contract: if the numbers don't justify working together, we don't deserve it.
Golden rule: never send paid traffic to a slow or unconvincing page — it's the most expensive way to find out you need a landing page. Request a free assessment of your ad potential →
